This is my version of Little Red Riding Hood but I took a bit of liberty with it. Initially, I wanted to paint a lush forest after seeing King Kong, but thought it would make the background too busy, thus taking the focus away from her face. I was inspired by Japanese wood block prints and wanted to create something with an Asian theme, sort of East meet West. I was always partial to well designed tattoos, so I've included my version. Instead of the traditional wolf, how about a dragon?
This one took me quite a while, all done in Photoshop CS. Leather texture was used for the gloves and rice paper was applied as an overlay for the background.

Nice work, I like the textures. Great idea to give Little Red Riding Hood tattooes! Them and the rough gloves make a nice contrast to her sweet expression and flowers.
Her eyes are not completely symmetrical, but who cares? Well done

Definitely a different take on Red Riding Hood, I'd like to read the story to go with it, somehow she doesn't look like she's on her way to grannies house, unless granny happens to be a dealer of course

Pretty sweet. Not too fond of the blurred out scarf/cape there though. Pulling out a little and showing more of a scene might be a nice idea too. Cool piece though.

This is really beautiful and very different. I am glad that you chose not to do a lush background, but instead decided to use a parchment type of treatment. I is very different and very well done.
